Neuroscience Research Theme at Trinity
Neuroscience Research Theme at Trinity
The Neuroscience research theme focuses on understanding the structure and function of the brain from molecule to mind. It is the process of examining the basic biological, physiological, and molecular processes that mediate behaviour. Researchers look to understand what goes wrong in a brain that has been damaged, as well as identify molecules that can restore function after illnesses such as brain damage, epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease. The importance of diagnostic tool development with regards to neurological diseases is also central to this research theme.
